	More Wood, Less Glue! Our drums deliver high end sound to every genre of music. From the subtle sensitivity of jazz to the cut and attack necessary for the heavy hitters, our sound gives you what you are looking for. We found that solid shells manufactured today have a much thicker shell, providing a sharp cracking sound. While that fulfilled the requirements of some players, we felt that a wider range could be achieved. Our goal was to provide a range from a distinctive attack to a full-bodied resonance. By reducing the thickness of our solid shells by roughly 20% (about 1/4") and hand rounding 45 degree edges, we found we had added not only substantial character to our solid shells, but also provided a balance between body and resonance that suprised even us. Poly-finishes inhibit the wood from breathing and therefore limit the richness of sound it will ever produce. We only use a special mixture of cellulose and oil, applied by hand, to provide the perfect lustre to the finished look and sound. The wood is permitted to breathe and the sound matures over time We only use domestically grown, responsibly harvested hardwoods for our shells. Many exotic woods come from old growth forests located in countries with little or no environmental regulations as to where or how much wood can be harvested. While we are dedicated to creating shells that are beautiful in both sound and appearance, we feel we can accomplish this without contributing to the cycle of irresponsible ecological practices. Our goal is to build drums with versatility. Our drums aim to delivery an ultra high end sound at reasonable prices. With limited advertising and selling direct, we hope to raise the bar in drum making.
